The road between Cairns and Cape Tribulation has now been named the Great Barrier Reef Drive.
This is an apt name, as it follows the coast with glimpses of the fringing reef, palm fringed beaches and lush tropical vegetation. As you follow the coast, there are numerous beaches to exlplore, each with its own unique flavour. From the lookouts, you may even see Green Sea Turtles swimming just offshore.
